If there were memes for interior decor then the Moroccan Beni Ouarain carpets would be one for 2016. I swear that when I trawl Instagram and Pinterest…for a restrained amount of hours *ahem addict*, three in five posts are feature these rugs. So I decided to do a little research on these distinctly patterned rugs. As you can tell from the title their from Morocco. They are traditionally woven by Berber tribes from undyed natural wool from the sheep of the Atlas mountains. Berber rugs are notable for their natural white and ivory tones and the naturally dyed darker intertwined wool. I’ve seen them in such diversely styled room settings that its safe to say they complement most most colour schemes. What say – yay or nay? xo!
